Getting started
Notemage is a study workspace built around three things: a notebook you can fill with text and drawings, a personal AI tutor that knows what's on your pages, and study tools (flashcards, quizzes, decks, mind maps) that you can spin up from any page.
#Create an account
Notemage uses email and password authentication.
- Open /auth/register.
- Pick a username (3–20 characters, letters / numbers / underscores) and an email.
- Set a password.
- You're in.
If you'd rather try the product first, the landing page Get started button takes you straight to registration.
- Go to /auth/login.
- Enter your email and password.
If you fail to sign in five times in a row, the account is locked for one hour. This is a brute-force protection on the auth route — wait it out, or reset your password.
#What's in your dashboard
After signing in you land on /dashboard. From there you can:
- Manage To-Do's.
- Open recent notebooks.
- See your current study streak and recent achievements.
- Add upcoming exams to the countdown.
- Track daily study goals.
The dashboard is the hub — everything else lives one click away.
#Your first notebook
- From the Notebooks page, hit New notebook.
- Give it a name.
- Inside the notebook, create a section, then a page.
- Pages can be either a text page (rich editor) or a canvas page (Excalidraw drawing surface). Pick whichever fits the material.
Once a page has content on it, the rest of Notemage opens up — you can ask your personal Mage Chat to explain it, generate flashcards from it, build a quiz, draft a presentation, or rough out a study plan.
#Where to go next
- The notebook → Notebooks and pages — sections, pages, and the structure underneath everything.
- AI features → Mage Chat — your in-notebook tutor, and how to give it the right context.
- Account → Plans and limits — what's free, what unlocks on Plus and Pro.
